1) What got you started at CrossFit BR?

I was attending another CrossFit gym and felt I needed a change.  I had a good friend that attended CrossFit BR and loved it so I tried it out.  I never went back to the old gym after my first session.  The programming and coaching at BR was amazing- and the culture at the gym was so refreshing- everyone was so nice and welcoming!

2) What is a fitness accomplishment you’re most proud of? 

I’ve dropped 50 lbs since I started but my most proud accomplishment is that after five years, I still CrossFit 4-6 times a week.  Getting healthy and changing habits was hard at first- but I found myself looking forward to going to the gym.  I never thought I was capable of viewing fitness as a way of life instead of a punishment for eating poorly- but that’s exactly what’s evolved over the last few years!

3) How do you stay motivated to continue training? 

For me it’s mental and a splash of vanity.  Mentally- I’m in Sales.  CrossFit pushes me to get out of my comfort zone and chip away at things that seem impossible at first sight- but after commitment, practice, and consistency- it becomes possible and you accomplish way more than you ever thought you could.  These same skills are necessary for my daily grind in my career.  Now the vanity…..seeing my muscles is an added bonus and just the cherry on top! 🙂
